DA-011 T-Groove Adapter

Description

A T-groove is the sliding channel found on the top and sides of many housings and trays, and it is a fitting a light cannot use directly. This adapter engages that groove and presents Big Blue mounting from it, which turns a channel that was doing nothing into a mounting point without anything being drilled or replaced. The advantage of a groove over a fixed hole is position: the adapter slides along it and locks wherever the light needs to sit, rather than being stuck at whatever point a manufacturer chose. It is machined from T6061 aluminium, the grade Big Blue use across their accessory series and chosen because it survives salt water rather than because it is cheap. That answers a housing with a grooved top plate, a tray with side channels and a rig being rebuilt. It suits a photographer mounting a light to a T-groove.
