DA-016 UK Light Adapter

Description

Underwater Kinetics equipment uses its own mounting, and this adapter is what lets a Big Blue light attach to it rather than requiring a whole new arm system. It presents a one inch ball, which is the closest thing underwater photography has to a universal fitting, so once it is on, any standard clamp will close around it. Overall height is 1.75 inches with a base two inches long, which keeps the light close to the mounting point rather than adding leverage that has to be held against in current. It is machined from T6061 aluminium, the grade Big Blue use throughout the accessory series and chosen for salt water rather than for cost. That answers a UK housing or tray, a mixed-brand rig and a photographer changing light brands. It suits an Underwater Kinetics owner fitting a Big Blue light.
