Big Blue DA-018 Inon Z Series Strobe Adapter

Description

The detail that matters on this adapter is the O-ring in the ball head. Every ball joint on a camera rig eventually creeps, letting a light drift out of aim as the diver swims, and the usual fix is to overtighten the clamp until something is damaged. An O-ring in the ball greatly increases friction, so the joint holds where it is set without being forced. This is the Inon Z series version, adapting that strobe mounting to Big Blue's, which lets a photographer run an Inon strobe and a Big Blue light on the same arms rather than two separate systems. It is machined from T6061 aluminium, the grade used across the accessory series for salt water resistance. That answers a mixed strobe and video rig and a light that keeps drifting off aim. It suits an Inon Z owner fitting a Big Blue light.
