Big Blue DA-022 Camera Adapter Plate

Description

A camera plate is the foundation everything else on a rig bolts to, which is why it is the one component worth buying in a grade that will not corrode or flex. This is Big Blue's camera adapter plate, machined from T6061 aluminium, the same grade used across their accessory series and chosen because it survives salt water rather than because it keeps the price down. It sits between the camera or housing and the tray, giving a solid mounting surface where a housing's own fittings are awkward or too few. Everything above it, arms, clamps, lights, depends on that joint staying rigid, because flex at the base multiplies into movement at the light. That answers a housing with limited fittings, a rig being rebuilt and a photographer consolidating a setup. It suits a photographer building a rig on a solid base.
