Description
A monochrome screen forces a diver to read a number and then work out whether it matters. A full-colour LCD does that work for them, which is the point of the Da Vinci: multicoloured digits that stand out against a bright sand or blue-water background, with room for a full set of stats rather than a rotating page of them. The digital compass can be integrated into the main display, so heading and dive data are read together, and reference and reverse headings make finding the boat straightforward at the end. Three modes cover Air, Nitrox and Gauge, with up to four Nitrox mixes and gas switching in the water. The Cressi Buhlmann ZHL-16C algorithm allows gradient factors and conservatism to be adjusted to the dive plan and the diver's experience. Audible alarms cover depth, ascent rate and PPO2, and deep and safety stops are user selectable. Bluetooth handles the log. It suits a recreational diver who wants a colour screen and a navigable compass.
