DA-013F 6mm Thread Adapter, Female

Description

Thread gender is the thing that gets ordered wrong, and it is worth being explicit: this is the female 6 millimetre version, which accepts a male thread. Big Blue build a male DA-013M as well, and the two are not interchangeable, so the equipment being joined has to be checked before ordering rather than after. Six millimetre is a common thread on trays and housings, and this adapter presents it on one side with Big Blue mounting on the other, letting a light fit equipment it was never designed for without anything being drilled. That is the purpose of the accessory series: Big Blue design it to cater to different photographic and video systems rather than assuming a rig is theirs throughout. Machined from T6061 aluminium for salt water resistance. It suits a photographer joining a Big Blue light to a 6 millimetre male thread.
