DC710

The OrcaTorch DC710 is a 3000 lumen dive torch that charges through a port in the body rather than through the cell, which is what the DC in the name means. The 21700 cell inside can be a plain one, because the charging circuit lives in the torch.

Four levels run from the titanium alloy side switch: turbo at 3000 lumens, high at 1700 for 1 hour 40 minutes, medium at 800 for 3 hours 40 and low at 400 for 7 hours 40. Beam intensity is 17,204 candela carrying 262 metres on land. The A6061-T6 body is Type III hard anodised behind coated toughened glass, rated to 150 metres and to a 1.5 metre drop, and measures 163 millimetres long on a 31 millimetre tube with a 36 millimetre head. Net weight is 181 grams without a cell.

The result is the D710's output with one less thing to unscrew. Charging through the body means the tail cap stays shut between dives, and a sealed torch is a torch that has not been flooded by a cross-threaded O-ring at the end of a long day.

Supplied with one 21700 cell, a USB-C cable, a lanyard and three spare O-rings. The WS02 wrist strap and H620 Goodman handle both fit.
