Description

Carrying a proprietary charger on a dive trip is one more thing to lose, and losing it means a dead torch. The DC710 charges directly over USB-C through the body, from the same cable a phone uses, which removes that failure entirely. Output runs to 3000 lumens on turbo, with 1700 lumens for 1 hour 40, 800 for 3 hours 40 and 400 for 7 hours 40, through a 6 degree beam measuring 17,204 candela and reaching 262 metres on land. That is a narrow column meant for signalling and for reaching into a wreck rather than lighting the water in front of the diver. It measures 163 millimetres long on a 31 millimetre tube with a 36 millimetre head, at 181 grams without a cell, and is rated to 150 metres and a 1.5 metre drop. Power comes from a 21700 USB-C 5000 milliamp-hour cell. It suits a diver who wants a bright primary that charges from an ordinary cable.
