The SCUBAPRO Analogue Depth Gauge is a wrist-mounted mechanical depth gauge. It needs no battery and has no firmware, which is exactly why it still has a place alongside a dive computer as a backup.
A computer that floods or fails leaves a diver with no depth reference, and a controlled ascent without one is guesswork. An analogue gauge on the other wrist covers that. It is also the instrument used in some training scenarios where a computer would do the thinking for the student.
