Description

The Descent Mk3 is the 43 mm Descent without air integration, and it is the sensible choice for a diver who already tracks gas on a submersible pressure gauge. Everything else the Mk3i offers is here: a 200 metre depth rating, a 1.2 inch AMOLED display under a sapphire lens, and Bühlmann ZHL-16c with adjustable gradient factors across air, nitrox and trimix to 100 percent oxygen. Scuba, gauge, apnea, apnea hunt and closed-circuit rebreather modes cover recreational, freediving and technical use from one watch. At 72.5 grams on the silicone band it wears as an everyday watch between dives, with 10 days of smartwatch battery and dive alerts you can set by depth or by time. The stainless steel bezel and fog grey band keep it plainer than the titanium Mk3i, and that is part of why it lands several thousand rand below it. It suits divers who want the Mk3 platform without paying for tank pressure on the wrist. Divers who want that should look at the Mk3i.
