Garmin Descent Mk3i

Description

The Descent Mk3i shows a whole dive team's tank pressure on one wrist. SubWave sonar links the watch to a T2 transceiver on each cylinder and carries pressure, depth and preset messages through water, where radio will not travel. Paired with T2s it reads up to eight divers within 10 metres, and that changes how a dive is run. An instructor sees a student getting low before the student thinks to signal. A guide watches the whole group's gas without swimming round to check. A technical diver running twins and a stage reads each cylinder independently on the same screen. The case is rated to 200 metres under a sapphire lens on a titanium bezel. The 43 mm runs up to 30 hours in dive mode or 15 with air integration; the 51 mm runs 66 and 40 and adds a built-in LED torch. It suits instructors and technical divers who lead teams. T2 transceivers are sold separately, one per cylinder.
