Description
An analogue SPG answers one question and leaves the rest to arithmetic. The Digi 2 answers six on one screen: cylinder pressure, dive time, depth to 120 metres, maximum depth, water temperature and remaining dive time until 50 bar, with a visible alert at 50 bar to mark the start of the ascent. It measures 50 by 60 mm with a high-contrast 45 by 27 mm screen, attaches to an HP port on the first stage and activates automatically when pressurised. Battery life runs to 700 dives in a year, with a low battery indicator, and the battery is user-replaceable behind a patented self-diagnosis pressurisation test that confirms the installation before diving. The Smart Cover extends battery life to three years by putting it in a dormant mode and also switches between metric and imperial units. An adjustable hook positions the display for hands-free reading, and the screen has a photoluminescent coating, in a polyamide housing with a silicone shell. It suits a diver replacing an analogue console with a digital one.
