Description

A needle on an analogue gauge has to be interpreted, and in low visibility or with a torch in one hand that interpretation is where mistakes are made. The Digi 1 reads gas as a number on a high-contrast 45 by 27 mm display, from 0 to 300 bar, with a visible alert at 50 bar to mark the point of entering reserve and beginning the ascent. It connects to an HP port on the first stage and activates automatically when pressurised, so there is nothing to switch on. Battery life runs to 1000 hours underwater, with a low battery indicator giving warning, and replacement needs no special tools, after which a patented self-diagnosis pressurisation test confirms the job was done correctly. An adjustable hook sets the screen angle for hands-free reading, which is what an instructor monitoring student gas actually needs. It suits a diver or instructor wanting gas read as a number rather than a needle.
