DiveVolk 0.6X Wide-Angle Wet Lens

Description

Water magnifies everything seen through a flat housing port, so a phone that framed a whole boat on land barely fits a turtle underwater. This 0.6x wide-angle wet lens widens the view back out and corrects the edge stretch that phone ultra-wide cameras produce, using a hard-coated polycarbonate dome in anodised aluminium. In water it weighs about 5 g, so the rig does not tip nose-down on a long swim. Along a reef wall it takes in the diver and the coral together; at a shark or manta cleaning station it keeps the whole animal in frame at close range. The lens accepts the 67 mm red filter and comes off underwater. It has to sit centred over whichever phone camera is in use, or the corners go dark, and on a SeaTouch 4 Max Plus it needs the expansion clamp's 67 mm adapter, sold separately. It suits a diver who shoots big scenes more than small subjects.
