Deluxe Webbed Harness + SS Backplate

Description

The webbing harness and the plate are two halves of one decision, and buying them together removes the risk of matching the wrong hardware. This pairs the Deluxe one piece harness with the stainless steel backplate. Stainless carries roughly two kilos on the spine, so it is ballast the diver would otherwise wear on a belt, positioned where it improves trim rather than pulling at the hips. On a drysuit dive that offsets a thick undersuit. On a dive ending with a light aluminium cylinder it holds the diver down at a safety stop. On a technical build the six stainless D-rings and serrated retainers set wherever the configuration wants them. There are no buckles in the load path to fail. Tank bands are bought separately. It suits a cold water or drysuit diver building a backplate rig.
