DRY BAG

The Aqua Lung dry bag is a roll-top tarpaulin bag for the items that must stay dry on a boat: a phone, a wallet, car keys, a passport, a dry set of clothes. It is the cheapest insurance on a dive day, and the one most often skipped.

The construction is welded tarpaulin rather than stitched fabric, so there are no needle holes to leak through. The closure is the standard roll-and-clip: fold the top over three times and clip the buckle to itself. Rolled that way the bag is watertight against spray and rain and will survive being dropped in the water, though it is a dry bag and not a submersible case. The clip doubles as a carry handle and takes a shoulder strap. Two sizes are offered, medium at 35 x 19 cm and large at 48 x 25 cm.

The result is a bag that keeps a phone alive on an open boat, which is the difference between a good day and an expensive one.

Supplied in black. Roll the top at least three times before clipping, because one or two folds will not seal. Not intended to be taken underwater or to protect anything at depth.
