Dry Snorkel

Description

Surfacing a long swim from the boat in a chop means clearing the snorkel on every wave. A float valve in the head seals the tube when it goes under, so it comes back up empty rather than full, and that saves effort in the water and gas in the tank. It is the feature that separates this from the rest of the range. Below the valve, a splash guard deals with surface chop and a flexible corrugated section lets the lower tube fall away from the face when a regulator is in. The mouthpiece is soft silicone, with a purge at the base of the tube for the water that does get in. It attaches to a Fourth Element mask strap by threading the strap through the triglide clip. Three colours are stocked: black, white, and aqua with white. The Splash Snorkel is the simpler version for calmer water and the Float the folding freediving one. Fourth Element publish no weight. It suits a diver facing long surface swims in chop.
