Apeks Dry Suit Cuff Dump

Description

Not every diver wants a shoulder dump, and in a horizontal trim the highest point of the suit is often the wrist rather than the shoulder. A cuff dump vents from there. On a technical dive held in flat trim it puts the exhaust where the gas actually collects. On a suit already carrying a shoulder valve it adds a second controlled route, which some divers prefer for fine adjustment. On a dive where an arm is occupied with a reel or a light the other wrist still vents. It is manually operated, so it vents when the diver chooses rather than on a preset pressure, which suits divers who want direct control of buoyancy at every point of an ascent. On a service it replaces a valve that has begun to leak at the seal. It suits a drysuit diver who trims flat and prefers wrist venting.
