DUFFEL BAG

The Fourth Element Expedition Duffel was designed around a complaint from the brand's own dive team. Finding black kit inside a black bag is difficult, and finding it at base camp in a cave system is worse. The bright interior lining is the answer to that.

The shell is heavy-duty mesh PVC with a double-lined base for abrasion where the bag is dragged. Shaped, padded rucksack straps carry it on the back and remove entirely so nothing catches on an airport conveyor. Compression straps, high-quality clasps and buckles and a full-length lid opening complete it. Three capacities are offered at 60, 90 and 120 litres, so the same bag design covers a weekend and a month.

The result is a bag that gives up a look inside rather than a rummage. On a boat with six identical black holdalls stacked on the deck, a coloured shell and a lit interior save more time than any pocket layout.

Eight variants cover 60, 90 and 120 litres in Orange, Blue and Grey, though not every colour is offered in every size, so the grid is worth checking before ordering. The Lightweight Dry-Sac organises the contents, and the Changing Mat rolls up alongside. Fourth Element publish no weight for the bag.
