Dust Cover 1st Stage (INT/DIN)

Description

Water carried into the first stage inlet is the usual route for salt to get past the sintered filter and into the mechanism, and a filter stained green is the visible result. This cap seals that inlet. What makes it worth keeping several of is that one cap fits both connections: on an INT first stage the yoke screw tightens down onto it, and on a DIN first stage it seats in the threaded inlet, so a single spare serves a mixed set of regulators on a club bench where most covers suit one or the other. Fitting takes no tools and alters nothing on the regulator. It is also the part most often left on a boat deck or lost in the bottom of a rinse tank, so carrying two is sensible. A cover that no longer seats firmly should be replaced rather than taped. It suits any diver rinsing a regulator after a salt water dive.
