The H2O Screw-On Dust Cover for DIN first stages threads into the DIN inlet, which is what a plain push-on cover cannot do. A threaded cover stays put in a kit bag and in a rinse tank, where a friction-fit cover comes loose.
Keeping water out of a DIN inlet is not housekeeping. Salt water reaching the filter is how corrosion starts inside the first stage, and the first sign of it is usually found by a technician at service. This cover screws in as soon as the regulator comes off the cylinder.
