EBS Fin Strap

Description

A conventional fin strap has to be adjusted on the surface and then adjusted again at depth, because hydrostatic pressure compresses a bootie and the fin works loose. An elastic band answers that: the EBS wrapping section is highly flexible, which removes the need to adjust at all and keeps the fin held against the foot as pressure increases through the first few metres of a descent. The slot is amply sized, which is the part that matters in winter water, since a strap can be pulled on wearing thick gloves or three-fingered gloves rather than bare hands. Cressi developed it for divers who want a comfortable fastening that is still practical to handle. Three lengths are offered, Short, Regular and Extended, so it can be matched to the fin and the thickness of the boot. That answers a cold-water dive, a shore entry and a fin repeatedly lost off the heel. It suits a diver replacing buckled straps with elastic.
