Suunto Eon Core Strap Kit

Description

An EON Core will outlast several of its straps, because elastomer hardens with ultraviolet light and salt while the computer inside it does not. Failure shows first as small cracks at the strap loop, and it tends to end with the computer coming off a wrist mid-dive. This is Suunto's own replacement kit, so it fits the lugs properly and takes the original pins rather than needing a generic bar. A strap swapped at the first sign of cracking is a ten minute job at a bench, while a strap that lets go on a shore entry is a lost computer. Divers running two units, one as a backup, tend to keep a spare kit in the save-a-dive box for the same reason. It suits an EON Core owner whose strap is hardening, or anyone wanting a spare before it does.
