Description

The part of a mask that usually fails first is not the skirt or the glass, it is a buckle, and it fails because it is a rigid plastic hinge taking a load it was never shaped for. The Estrella mounts its buckles on a flexible anchorage instead, so they swivel fully in every direction and give rather than snap. The same mounting lets the strap be micro-adjusted with one hand at the push of a button, and once set the mask stays where it was put. The rest is built to the standard of the technical range: sturdy tempered glass, a polycarbonate frame kept thin and light, and a silicone strap. The lens layout is shaped to give a wide field in every direction rather than only straight ahead. It suits a diver who has broken a mask buckle and would rather not do it again.
