EVERFLEX SEAL DIVING HOOD 5/3MM
The SCUBAPRO Everflex Seal Diving Hood in 5/3 mm keeps the head and ears warm, which is where a diver loses heat fastest and the reason a hood extends a cold-water dive more than a thicker suit would. It is made from 5/4 mm X-Foam neoprene, a limestone-based formulation rather than a petroleum one.
The face seal is the feature worth paying for: it cuts the water transfer that steals heat around the face, so the hood works from temperate into cold water rather than only taking the edge off. The outside is 100 percent high-stretch Everflex nylon and the interior is smooth-skin with a plush lining, a combination that makes the hood easy to pull on and off while still sealing properly on the head.
