FCON-T01 Fisheye Converter

Description

Most converters cost a stop of light. This one does not, and underwater that decides whether it is usable at all: light is the constraint down there, and a fisheye that took the camera off f/2.0 would put it outside workable territory. It delivers 0.74x magnification across a 130 degree angle of view, an effective 19 mm in 35 mm terms, with the maximum aperture intact. Wide is what underwater photography wants, because closing the distance to the subject is the only dependable way to cut the water between lens and sensor, and a metre away this takes in a whole reef head or a section of wreck. It weighs about 125 grams, is waterproof to 15 metres, or 12 on the TG-1, and needs the CLA-T01 adapter, sold separately. It fits over the camera's own lens, so it will not go inside the PT-059 housing. It suits a TG owner shooting wide unhoused.
