FCON-T02 Circular Fisheye Converter

Description

A sealed air-filled converter taken from a hot deck into cold water fogs on its internal surfaces, and nothing can be done about it once in the water. Filling this one with nitrogen removes that failure. What the lens then offers is effectively two: zoomed wide it produces a circular fisheye with black corners, and zoomed in slightly the circle fills the frame as a diagonal fisheye, the choice made on the camera's own zoom while shooting rather than by any control on the lens. A circular frame reads as deliberate, which is what separates it from a wide shot that happens to have curved edges. It is waterproof to 20 metres, weighs about 141 grams and fits the TG-7 back to the TG-1, needing the CLA-T01 adapter. One caveat from OM System: with it fitted, the camera's waterproof, shockproof and crushproof ratings no longer apply, so treat the pair as a 20 metre camera. It suits a photographer wanting a distinctly different frame.
