The OM System FD-1 Flash Diffuser softens and redistributes light from the built-in flash for macro and close-up photography, reducing harsh shadows and uneven lighting at short range. It mounts to the front of the camera and channels light into a ring around the lens, effective at distances of 2 to 30cm, where extreme proximity would otherwise leave one side of the subject in shadow. A light intensity lever switches between high and low output, a 1.4-stop difference, to suit different subjects.

The FD-1 is compatible with the TG-7, TG-6, TG-5, and TG-4 (TG-4 requires firmware version 2.0). It's waterproof, usable for underwater macro photography, though it isn't compatible with the PT-059 underwater housing or other TG accessory housings. Weight is approximately 20g.
