Description
The brighter the light, the worse backscatter gets. White light scatters off every particle between the torch and the subject, and a head producing nine or thirteen thousand lumens in green water simply lights the water rather than what is in it. A yellow filter cuts the short wavelengths that scatter hardest, so less comes back at the lens and the scene ahead reads as clearer instead of merely brighter, with the beam warmed enough to bring some red back into footage that would otherwise be entirely green. This is the 63 millimetre size, fitting the VTL9000P, VTL9000P Max, VTL9000PB, VTL11000P and VTL13500P Max, and it comes off in seconds when the water turns blue. It suits a diver running a large VTL head in green or murky water.
