Finisher Knife

Description

A spearfishing knife is asked to penetrate rather than to saw, and the failure mode that matters is the blade bending or snapping rather than going blunt. The Finisher is built against that: a rhomboidal cross section gives it real resistance to flexing and breaking, and the blade extends right through the interior of the handle to a small pommel at the end, so there is no tang joint to fail under load. It is tempered AISI 304 steel with a black coating, and Cressi are explicit that the durability comes from the quality of the steel rather than from how sharp it arrives. The blade is double-edged, smooth on one side and serrated on the other, and the handle is a comfortable rubberised polymer that holds in a wet grip. It is a medium-sized stiletto, manageable rather than unwieldy. It suits a spearfisher who needs penetration and a blade that will not bend.
