Fischer Socket Cap

Description

An open Fischer socket on a rebreather monitor is a salt water path straight into the connector, and corrosion in those pins is expensive to put right. This cap closes the socket whenever the cable is not plugged in. On a dive where the monitor is run without its cell cable the cap keeps the socket dry from the moment the diver enters the water. On the drive home it stops a wet cylinder bag doing damage that will not show until the connection goes intermittent. On a service the cap goes on before the unit is rinsed. It fits the Fischer 103 sockets used on the NERD 2 Fischer and Petrel 3 Fischer. It suits any diver running a Fischer equipped monitor, and a spare is worth keeping because they are easy to lose.
