SeaLife Flex-Connect Ball Arm Kit

Description

Everything needed to put a rigid ball arm on a Flex-Connect rig arrives in one box: an 8 inch rigid ball arm, two ball clamps, one Sea Dragon ball joint adapter and one ball joint adapter for Flex-Connect. Assembled, those pieces give 15.5 inches of arm extension, and a second kit adds a further 9.5. Black anodised aluminium makes up the arm; the clamps are aluminium too, their plates spring-loaded under a wing-nut handle, so one hand is enough to move a light and lock it again. Because both adapters come in the box the arm bridges either way round, taking Sea Dragon heads onto ball joints and ball-mount heads onto Flex-Connect. Rigid is what stills work wants, because moving the light off the lens axis is the standard fix for backscatter and an arm that keeps its position keeps that separation frame after frame, current or no current. Neither a camera nor a light is supplied. It suits a photographer building a ball arm rig from scratch.
