SeaLife Flex-Connect Y-S Adapter

Description

Y-S is the mount used across much of the underwater strobe market, so this is the part that puts non-SeaLife lighting on a SeaLife rig: any light or flash with a Y-S foot onto Flex-Connect grips, trays, arms and cold shoe mounts. The adapter rotates left and right on its base while the light angles up and down on the mount, which sets aim in two axes rather than one, and that is the difference between a light that is merely attached and a light pointed where the photographer wants it. Both adjustments are made by hand without a tool, so a light is re-aimed between shots. The choice of tray then stops dictating the choice of light: change strobes and keep the arms, or change housings and keep the strobe. One comes in the Single Tray Kit and two in the Dual. It suits a photographer running non-SeaLife strobes.
