SeaLife Float Strap

Description

A dropped camera in blue water is gone. A dropped camera on a float strap is an inconvenience, waiting at the surface where the orange liner makes it findable. SeaLife rate the lift at 3.5 ounces, 100 grams, in fresh water and 3.6 ounces, 103 grams, in salt, measured at the surface, which is where it is needed: the neoprene is closed-cell, so it compresses with depth and loses lift on the way down. Construction is closed-cell neoprene with that orange liner, on a heavy-duty nylon cord rated at 50 pounds, 23 kg, on land, with a sliding lock to set the strap to the wrist. It floats all SeaLife cameras and most other waterproof compacts. Two cautions: the integrated clip is for a vest or BCD D-ring rather than the camera or housing, and 3.5 ounces of lift will not hold a loaded tray with two lights and arms. It suits a diver carrying a compact camera or small housing.
