Free Divers Belt Reel

Description

A reel gives a spearfisher line to play a strong fish instead of being dragged by it, and the Free Divers belt reel keeps that line close in with a low, compact profile. The body is 30% glass filled nylon on a stainless steel bracket, with a dynamic drag system to control the run. Its hydrodynamic shape is designed to cut drag as the diver moves through the water. Hunting pelagics from a boat, the 50m standard spool takes up to 70m of 1.5mm dyneema for a long run. On a reef where line is more likely to snag, the 40m slim line spool keeps the set-up compact. Divers who already have line can buy either size empty, while others order it loaded with braid or dyneema. It suits a spearfisher who wants line in reserve for fish that run hard.
