Description
A weight that can be released in a hurry is a safety feature as much as a buoyancy tool, which is the idea behind a drop weight. The Free Divers drop weight is a lead weight with a quick-release clip, so it can be attached to the belt for the descent and dropped if the diver needs to ascend quickly. Spearfishers working deeper reefs use one to reach the bottom with less effort. Freedivers can add it to fine-tune weighting without rethreading the whole belt. It also lets a diver shed weight before a long surface swim back to shore. Free Divers do not state the mass of the weight, so it can be confirmed with the shop before ordering. It suits a freediver or spearfisher who wants weight that can be ditched quickly.
