Description
Dyneema earns its place on a speargun through low stretch and strong abrasion resistance, which keeps a shooting line accurate and lets a reel carry more line at a thin diameter. Free Divers sell 2mm dyneema cord, listed at 22kg, by the metre. Rigging a new shooting line is the obvious use, where low stretch keeps shots consistent and the cord stands up to contact with rocks and fish scales. The same cord loads a reel when more capacity is needed from a compact spool. It also makes soft wishbones, which stay silent against the barrel and wear well under repeated loading. The price is per metre, so the quantity selected is the length in metres. It suits a spearfisher rigging shooting lines, reels or wishbones.
