Description
Small parts inside a trigger mechanism wear long before the barrel does, and the floating cam is one of them. Free Divers sell the cam on its own as a replacement part for their speargun trigger mechanism. A diver stripping a cassette after a season of salt water can renew the cam while the mechanism is open. Workshops servicing several guns can keep a few in stock rather than wait on a full cassette. Anyone building a gun from parts can complete the mechanism without buying a second cassette. Because the cam is part of the trigger system, fitting is best left to someone who knows the mechanism, and the gun should be checked unloaded after any repair. It suits a spearfisher or workshop maintaining a Free Divers trigger mechanism.
