Description
The spear takes more punishment than any other part of a speargun, so the Free Divers Shark Fin spear starts with high tensile spring steel and an anti-corrosive coating. Raised shark fin tabs take the wishbone instead of notches cut into the shaft, and a Free Divers barb is fitted as standard. A diver re-rigging a reef gun can pick 6.6 or 7mm for a lighter, faster shaft. For a two-band blue-water gun, the 7.5 or 8mm diameters add mass for bigger fish at range. Lengths run from 90cm to 1.7m, so a replacement can be matched to an existing gun, or a spare carried on the boat for the day a spear bends on a rock. It suits a spearfisher replacing or upgrading a spear who wants a shaft from the same maker as the Free Divers guns.
