Description
The barb is what keeps a fish on the spear, and the Free Divers barb with pin is a direct replacement for the barb their spears carry as standard. It is made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel and attaches to the shaft with a precision-fit pin, so a bent or lost barb can be replaced without changing the whole spear. Three lengths are offered, 65, 82 and 92mm, to suit different spear sizes. A diver who has straightened a barb on a rock can swap it at home before the next session. Others keep a spare barb and pin in the dive bag for a quick fix between drops on a boat day. Workshops rigging several spears at once can stock all three lengths. It suits a spearfisher maintaining their own spears who wants a matching replacement barb.
