Description
Collecting crayfish needs both hands, so the catch has to go somewhere that does not need holding. The Free Divers standard cray bag is a compact, waist-worn catch bag that keeps the hands free while working the reef. It measures 450 x 400mm. On a shallow shore dive along a West Coast reef, it sits at the waist while crays are measured and bagged one by one. Between dives, it can be emptied straight into a cooler. Divers working in pairs can each wear one, so each permit holder's catch stays separate. Recreational crayfish collection in South Africa requires a permit and is subject to size, season and bag limits. It suits a recreational diver collecting crayfish who wants a simple hands-free catch bag.
