Description
A weight belt that slides up the body on a head-down descent shifts the diver's trim and can end up around the chest, which is why freedivers and spearfishers add a leg strap. The Free Divers leg strap secures the weight belt so it cannot slide or shift during a dive. On deep freedives, it keeps the belt at the hips through the duck dive and the descent. For a spearfisher lying on the bottom waiting for fish, it stops the belt riding up out of position. It comes in medium and large, and it should be adjusted snug but not tight, allowing free movement. It suits a freediver or spearfisher who wants the weight belt kept firmly in place.
