G260 Second Stage

Description

Ice forms first at the inlet tube, the orifice, the inhalation knob and the hose connector, and the G260 builds all four in metal. Metal conducts heat toward exactly those points, which is the argument for this second stage over a fully moulded one and the reason it can be left hanging in Cape winter water without being watched for a free flow. The air balanced flow valve is corrosion-resistant chrome-plated brass, passing 1800 litres per minute at 200 bar against a maximum low pressure input of 14 bar, and a large diaphragm carries the sensitivity the G250 range was known for. Inhalation effort is set on the knob and the VIVA lever detunes the venturi, so the same body serves as a primary on one dive and an octopus on the next. The hose attachment reverses left or right for technical routing and long hose work. It suits a diver working in genuinely cold water.
