Description

Whoever runs the boat on a dive day usually wants boat data and dive data on the same wrist, and the Quatix 8 carries both. It streams boat data from compatible Garmin marine electronics, controls a compatible autopilot or trolling motor, sets an anchor alarm and shows tide tables, all under sapphire crystal in a titanium bezel. Its dive mode handles single-gas scuba on air or nitrox up to 40% oxygen and apnea, both to 40 m, with Bühlmann ZHL-16c and gradient factors. A charter skipper checks anchor drift while the group is down, then dives the second site. A spearfisher running a ski boat keeps tide tables and apnea logs on the same watch. A sailor uses the virtual starting line and tack assist on race days. Dive alerts are vibration only and there is no gas switching. It suits a boat owner or skipper who dives from the boat.
