Garmin Tactix 8 AMOLED

Description

A watch that goes from a dive weekend to a week of fieldwork has to cope with both, and the Tactix 8 carries Garmin's tactical toolset alongside the Fenix 8 dive mode. Stealth mode, a night vision mode, a kill switch and a preloaded Applied Ballistics Ultralight solver sit next to single-gas scuba on air or nitrox up to 40% oxygen and apnea, both to 40 m, on Bühlmann ZHL-16c. A spearfisher on a remote coast logs breath-holds and saves each entry and exit point. A diver who hunts in the off-season uses the ballistics solver in the bush. A ranger or security professional on a long shift keeps stealth mode on and the dive log in the same watch. The 51 mm also comes with a slate grey or olive drab Cerakote coated bezel. Dive alerts are vibration only. It suits a diver who also works or hunts outdoors and wants one hard-wearing watch.
