Glide Swim Buoy

Description

The reason most open water swimmers leave their keys under a rock is that there is nowhere else to put them. The Glide removes that problem by working as a floating dry bag as well as a buoy: a roll-down top with a pinch-clip closure forms a watertight seal, so spare goggles, car keys or a GPS tracker travel on the swim rather than being left on a beach. Its first job is still visibility, in durable orange material that is easy to pick out from a boat, and a beacon light can be slipped inside to raise that further in low light. Once packed it is inflated through an external valve, an adjustable waist strap and lanyard keep it attached, and the top buckle carries a built-in emergency whistle. Capacity is 28 litres. That answers a coastal swim, an early morning session and a lake crossing. It suits an open water swimmer who needs to carry their belongings with them.
