Gobi Snorkel

Description

Jaw ache is the commonest complaint after a long snorkel, and it comes from a hard mouthpiece that has to be gripped to stay in place. The Gobi uses an ergonomically shaped silicone mouthpiece designed to sit without being clenched, which is what makes an hour on the surface bearable rather than something to endure. Below it, a one-way purge valve clears water on a light breath instead of a hard blast, so a wave over the top does not interrupt the swim. A full flex section runs the length of the lower tube, letting the snorkel take the shape the face and mask strap actually want rather than levering against them, and it lets the mouthpiece drop away when it is not in use. That answers a long surface swim, a snorkelling holiday, and a scuba diver carrying a snorkel that has to stay out of the way. It suits a snorkeller who spends real time face down.
