Gringo Snorkel Keeper

Description

Without a keeper a snorkel simply hangs from the mask strap, swinging with every turn of the head and levering at the mask until it leaks. This is the replacement keeper for the Cressi Gringo, the small clip that holds the tube in position where it should be. Keepers are the quiet failure on a snorkel: they perish from UV and salt long before the tube or mouthpiece do, and a split one has no field repair, so a spare kept with the mask is worth far more than it costs. Fitting the model-specific part matters, since it has to match both the tube diameter and the strap it clamps to. It is supplied in black. Cressi publish no material specification for this part, so nothing further is claimed here. That answers a lost keeper, a perished one and a spare. It suits an owner of a Cressi Gringo snorkel.
