H620 GOODMAN HANDLE

The OrcaTorch H620 Goodman Handle straps a canister-class light to the back of the hand, leaving all five fingers free for a reel, a camera or a valve. It weighs 191 grams, which is light enough that it does not become the heaviest part of the assembly.

It is built for the D620 and D630 and also takes the D850, D900V, D910V, DC710 and ZD710 MK2, which covers most of the larger bodies in the range. The frame is rigid rather than strapped, so the light points where the back of the hand points and stays there when the hand opens. Construction is aluminium and moulded polymer, chosen to survive repeated salt water immersion rather than to save weight.

The result is a technical diver who can run a line and still see it. A hand-held torch means choosing between the reel and the light, and a diver who clips the torch off to free a hand has gone dark at the point in a dive where the light was needed most.

Supplied as the handle alone; the dive light is not included. The D630 V2.0 ships with a Goodman handle already, so this is a spare or a fitting for the models that do not. The WS02 wrist strap is the softer alternative for the same lights.
