Description

Shears cut monofilament and net faster than any knife and cannot stab anything by accident, which is why so many technical divers now carry them instead of a blade. The Haka is built from stainless steel for resilience in salt water, with a blade design shaped for precision rather than brute force, so it slices line cleanly instead of chewing at it. The handles are made to grip securely with gloves on, which is where cheaper shears fail: fingers slip and the cut is never made. A purpose-built sheath comes with them for storage and quick access, so they sit where a hand expects rather than loose in a pocket. Cutting rather than sawing also matters when the line being removed is around an animal. It suits a diver who wants a cutting tool with no point on it.
