Description

Light plastic bats give up at the first gust of sea breeze, so these were built with some weight in them. The Salty C Handmade Wooden Beach Bat Set is cut from repurposed laminated pine and sealed against the elements, with a slightly heavy feel that gives a firmer connection with the ball and longer rallies. Take a set on a dive trip for the hours between boat launches, pack it for a family beach day, or use it to warm up on the sand before a swim. Each bat has a rope loop for the wrist and a 12 cm handle, and the design was refined through plenty of practice. They are handmade in Lotus River, Cape Town, by a skilled carpenter. Because they are made to last, they can stay in the car boot all summer. It suits families, dive groups and anyone who likes a bit of friendly competition on the beach.
